Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Pratt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Warmaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warmaster has chosen Deftones- welcome to the butcher as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Josh Warmaster enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Warmaster!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warmaster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pratt sprawls well initially but Warmaster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Warmaster is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pratt sees it coming and defends easily.

Warmaster wants to work for an arm triangle but Pratt is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Pratt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pratt tries to get out of the position.
Pratt is looking to improve his position.
Pratt throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Pratt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Warmaster is working away from the top position though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Warmaster is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Warmaster is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pratt defends it well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Pratt tries to get to full guard but Warmaster has control of the leg.
Warmaster is looking to take a break and control but Pratt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pratt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Warmaster scores with a couple of nice shots.

Pratt is pressing down on Warmaster's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pratt looking for a sweep. Not yet Pratt, not yet.
Pratt controls Warmaster momentarily but Warmaster frees himself.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Warmaster's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Pratt is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Warmaster defends well.
Warmaster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pratt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pratt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Warmaster defends it easily.
Pratt is breathing heavily.

Pratt throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Warmaster escapes and throws Pratt's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Warmaster is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pratt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pratt struggling a bit here.

Warmaster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pratt is not content to let Warmaster control the position.
Pratt is pushing Warmaster's head away, looking to escape. Warmaster manages to hold on to the position though.

Warmaster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Pratt taking punishment in the form of punches.


It looks like Joseph Pratt has been cut.

Warmaster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Check out the look on Warmaster's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Pratt tries to buck Warmaster off but Warmaster is having none of it.
Warmaster works to advance to full mount. Pratt defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Pratt sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Pratt is trying to stand back up but Warmaster is controlling him

Warmaster is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pratt to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pratt shrugs it off.

Warmaster looking to control and managing it successfully.
Pratt sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pratt throws his legs up looking for a submission but Warmaster uses it to pass to side control.

Warmaster tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Warmaster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pratt tries to escape but Warmaster is in control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Pratt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Warmaster works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Pratt has a takedown stuffed.
Warmaster lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pratt backs up against the ropes.
Pratt tries to clinch up but Warmaster circles away and keeps his distance.
Pratt wants to clinch.
Pratt is looking to clinch.

Warmaster scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Pratt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Warmaster's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Pratt tries to kick Warmaster off but Warmaster keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Warmaster is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pratt defends it well.
Pratt wants to get back to his feet.

Warmaster seems to be looking for submissions.

Pratt is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Warmaster pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pratt tries to get to full guard but Warmaster has control of the leg.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Warmaster connects with a nice short shot to Pratt's temple.

Warmaster has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Pratt is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Warmaster yanks on the arm and Pratt is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Warmaster.
