The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glynn feints and as Connors raises his hands in defense, Glynn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Connors is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Connors controls Glynn momentarily but Glynn frees himself.
Connors wants to stand up but Glynn is controlling him.
Glynn passes Connors's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Glynn is trying to work for a kimura but Connors is defending well.
Connors throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Glynn is trying to drag Connors to the mat but Connors just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Glynn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Connors's efforts to push away.

Glynn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Connors just stands there and leans against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Connors is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Connors is trying to maintain a safe position but Glynn gets an underhook and turns Connors into the cage.
Glynn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Connors walks away with a smile on his face. Glynn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Connors shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Glynn eats them both and turns towards Connors to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Glynn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Connors's half guard.
Connors is staying active underneath Glynn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
