The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves motions for Totsky to come forward. Alves throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Alves takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Totsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alves takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Totsky throws out a loose jab but Alves uses good head movement to avoid it.
Alves tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Totsky counters with a nice uppercut.
Alves tries to clinch but Totsky is having none of it.
Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Totsky circles away quickly and effectively.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt.
Alves throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Totsky counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Freddy Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves misses with the combination.
Alves looks gassed!
Totsky stuns Alves with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Totsky moves out of range of the strikes.
Alves fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Alves uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Totsky.
Totsky misses with a double jab.
Totsky lands a right hook to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Totsky.
Alves swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Totsky counters with a nice uppercut.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Totsky and Alves goes tumbling to the canvas! Totsky follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Alves is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Totsky is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Alves is hurt! He's hurt bad - Totsky fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Alves from any more punishment! Congratulations to Totsky! Great finish!
