Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Charles Skarbowsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Klaus Krause!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skarbowsky throws a leg kick which misses Krause's front leg but catches the back leg as Krause tries to avoid it.
Krause takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Good shot there by Skarbowsky.
Krause takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A jab from Krause misses.
Krause tries to clinch
and Skarbowsky makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Krause really felt that one!
Krause takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Krause takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Krause fails to land with a series of punches.
Krause looks gassed!
Skarbowsky works over Krause's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Klaus Krause has been cut.

Skarbowsky has managed to clinch.

Skarbowsky's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Krause fails with a takedown attempt.

Skarbowsky drives through and clinches with Krause against the cage.
Krause tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Skarbowsky's elbow.

Krause throws a big shot that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Skarbowsky throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Krause stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Skarbowsky lands a nice leg kick that just misses Krause's sensitive parts.
Skarbowsky moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Skarbowsky connects with a good right hand that stumbles Krause. Krause circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Skarbowsky throws a nice inside leg kick.
Krause takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Krause sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Krause fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Skarbowsky manages to avoid it.
Skarbowsky with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Skarbowsky lands a body shot.

Skarbowsky forces Krause back against the cage and clinches.

Skarbowsky breaks the clinch.
Skarbowsky feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Krause's calf.
Skarbowsky lands a nice looking kick to the body. Krause takes a step back to recover.
Krause has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Skarbowsky.
Skarbowsky ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Skarbowsky jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Krause throws a hook but Skarbowsky blocks it.
Krause takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A left and a right from Skarbowsky both land. Nice combination.
Skarbowsky thows a body kick. Krause tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Skarbowsky lands a head kick. Krause smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Skarbowsky lands a big head kick that sends Krause tumbling to the mat! Skarbowsky takes a step backwards and waves Krause back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Krause is rocked!


That has opened up Klaus Krause's cut even more.
Krause is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Skarbowsky just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Krause has gone limp, and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jean Charles Skarbowsky!
A relieved looking Jean Charles Skarbowsky thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
