Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Florian Droux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eugene Canedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eugene Canedo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Droux avoids a punch combination nicely.
Droux doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Canedo counters with a straight right hand.
Canedo looks to land a combination. Droux sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Droux stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Canedo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Droux drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Canedo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Droux has Canedo in his guard.
Canedo advances to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Canedo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Droux keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Florian Droux will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Droux shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Eugene Canedo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Droux tries for a takedown but Canedo circles away easily
letting Canedo counter with a right hand.
Canedo connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Droux tumbling to the canvas! Canedo pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Droux was done - good stoppage!
