Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Nobis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis has chosen Cry For the Moon - Epica as his entrance music. Peter Nobis has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Nobis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jamal Reis!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reis rushes Nobis and presses him up against the ropes.
Reis prevents the takedown attempt.
A nice right hand lands inside from Reis.
Reis scores with a nice hook to the head.

Reis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nobis.
Nobis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reis is fending him off so far but Nobis persists. Nope, Reis circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Nobis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nobis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nobis dives in and grabs Reis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reis pushes down on Nobis's head and hops out.
Reis connects with a single shot there.

Nobis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Reis connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nobis scrambles back to his feet.
Reis stuffs the takedown attempt from Nobis. Nobis gets slowly back to his feet.
Nobis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reis's waist but Reis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nobis off to one side.

Nobis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Reis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Peter Nobis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nobis is breathing heavily.

Reis rushes Nobis and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Nobis can't get the takedown.
Reis pushes Nobis back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Reis.

Reis lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Reis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Nobis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Reis stalls.

Reis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nobis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nobis somewhat.
Reis misses the shot to the body.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Nobis. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Nobis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reis tries to avoid it but Nobis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reis to the ground. Reis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nobis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reis as he avoids it easily.
Reis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reis wants it to stay on the feet.
Reis connects with an inside leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Reis.
Nobis fails with a takedown attempt.

Reis moves into the clinch successfully.
Reis is struggling to control the position.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Reis.

Reis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reis misses with a double jab.
Reis works the jab nicely.
Nobis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Reis.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reis lands a damaging elbow.

Reis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reis throws a one two combo.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nobis takes the fight into the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jamal Reis dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nobis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jamal Reis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Reis wants to land a leg kick but Nobis is out of range.
Nobis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reis as he avoids it easily.

Reis gets through Nobis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Nice takedown defense from Reis. No joy for Nobis on that attempt.
Reis feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nobiss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Reis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Oh Nobis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Nobis seems to have got his legs back now.

Reis lands with a left to the head.
Reis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nobiss head.

Reis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nobis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reis tries to avoid it but Nobis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reis to the ground. Reis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Reis lands a slapping body shot.
Nobis has his takedown stuffed

and Reis counters by moving into the clinch.
Reis lands a body shot in the clinch.

Reis lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nobis backwards.
Reis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nobis backwards.

Reis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nobis shoots in looking for a takedown. Reis tries to sprawl out of it but Nobis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Reis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Nobis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jamal Reis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Nobis tries to pull guard but Reis holds him up against the ropes and eventually Nobis drops back down to his feet.

Reis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jamal Reis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
