Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ely Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey O Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes to the cage accompanied by party up. O Neil has chosen Rebels Of The Sacred Heart as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Scott blocks the low kick.
Scott avoids the body shot from O Neil.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by O Neil.
O Neil missing with a left hand there. Scott was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
O Neil throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
O Neil bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Scott's head backwards.

It looks like Ely Scott has been cut.
O Neil wants to clinch.
O Neil tries to land a front kick but Scott steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mickey O Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O Neil scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from O Neil.
O Neil stuns Scott with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Scott moves in looking to clinch but O Neil pushes him off.

Scott shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. O Neil manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Scott drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but O Neil manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Scott has O Neil in his guard.

Scott working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. O Neil doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. O Neil manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Scott is trying to break the clinch but O Neil has him pressed against the cage.
Scott wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but O Neil has him pressed against the cage.
Scott wants to get back to striking at distance but O Neil won't allow it.
O Neil tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
O Neil tries to throw a body punch but Scott avoids it by throwing O Neil back against the cage.
O Neil lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Scott drops to a knee looking for a takedown but O Neil gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Scott is trying to drag O Neil to the mat but O Neil just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Scott is trying to pull guard but O Neil turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Scott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

O Neil throws a body punch but Scott moves out of range.

Scott takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
O Neil feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Scott's calf.
O Neil is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Scott rather than just go for the knockout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scott stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from O Neil.
O Neil cracks Scott with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

O Neil tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scott was well out of range. Poor timing from O Neil.
O Neil fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Scott checks it well.

O Neil tries to land a leg kick but Scott saw it coming and moves away.
Scott takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
O Neil just misses with a punch to the body.

Scott tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. O Neil just stands there and leans against the cage.
Scott tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Scott goes for a takedown in the clinch but O Neil prevents it.

O Neil lands with a short shot to the head.
Scott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. O Neil avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as O Neil takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Scott takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from O Neil, right into the meat.
O Neil throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Scott crashing down! Scott tries to stagger back to his feet but O Neil just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Scott asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
