Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilmari Laine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramsey Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramsey Wood will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ilmari Laine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ramsey Wood!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood has his takedown stuffed

and Laine counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Wood has a couple of punches blocked by Laine.
Laine stalls.
Wood misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Laine.
Wood jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Laine walks away with a smile on his face. Wood gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Laine misses with a wild body shot.

Laine shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wood's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Laine is working Wood over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wood looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Laine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Laine controlling from the top position.
Laine prevents Wood from getting back to his feet.
Laine postures up.
Laine trying to control but Wood is working from the bottom.
Wood keeping full guard, as Laine tries to pass.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wood uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laine.
Laine misses with a wild body shot.
Wood tries for a takedown but Laine circles away easily
and Laine makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ilmari Laine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramsey Wood.

Wood gets caught napping as Laine dives in and scores a takedown. Wood manages to retain guard.
Laine is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Laine keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wood's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Laine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wood working for a triangle but Laine defends it easily.
Laine wants to control from the top but Wood keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laine lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Laine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wood swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wood is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Laine wants to control from the top but Wood keeps moving.
Laine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wood is keeping the position for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wood is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ramsey Wood hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Wood shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ilmari Laine dominated that round.
That's time! Laine's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Laine feints and as Wood raises his hands in defense, Laine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Laine postures up in Wood's guard and throws a big left but Wood blocks it.
Laine passes Wood's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Laine passes to side control.
Wood avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Laine.
Laine is working Wood over with some ground and pound from side control.
Laine working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wood keeps working.

Laine scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Wood to see if he's OK.

Wood manages to get back to half guard.
Wood wants to control but Laine is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Laine drops an elbow to the side of Wood's head.
Laine throwing shots but Wood is blocking nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laine is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Wood is rocked!
Laine scores with a big shot! Wood's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Wood! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
