Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Fatts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlo Severus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatts comes to the cage accompanied by Hit Em Up by Tupac. Carlo Severus will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severus is looking to clinch but Fatts is avoiding it.
A telegraphed right hand from Fatts misses the target.

Severus wants to clinch.

Severus closes the distance and pushes Fatts back into the cage.

Fatts is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Severus is just riding it out for now. Fatts eventually gives up the hold.

Severus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fatts's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fatts's back!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fatts wants to escape the position.
Fatts is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

What's going on here? Severus has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!

Fatts fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Severus sprawls well initially but Fatts persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fatts looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Severus is refusing to be controlled, as Fatts sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fatts lands a nice short elbow.

Carlo Severus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fatts feints and as Severus raises his hands in defense, Fatts changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fatts loads up on a big left hand. Severus felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Fatts looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Severus can't hide his disappointment, as Fatts celebrates the victory.

A very excited looking Jay Fatts rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
