Cong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Jibbs - King Kong. Rection has chosen Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth as his entrance music. Hugh G Rection acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rection ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rection tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cong was well out of range. Poor timing from Rection.
Rection scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Christian Cong has been cut.
Cong takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rection swings for the body but Cong moves out of range.
Rection thuds his shin into the meat of Cong's side.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cong takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rection throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rection scores with a hook to the body. Cong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rection stuffs the takedown attempt from Cong. Cong gets slowly back to his feet.
A swing and a miss from Cong.

A slapping leg kick lands for Rection.
A big left from Cong misses.
The crowd cheers as Cong lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rection doesn't seem phased though.
Cong dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rection smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Cong avoids the body shot from Rection.
Rection is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cong rather than just go for the knockout.
Rection misses with a wild body shot.
Cong throws a big shot that misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rection.
Rection showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cong.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rection scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cong doesn't seem bothered though.
Cong has a takedown stuffed.
Rection lands a nice shot to the body.
Cong is breathing heavily.
Cong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rection is fending him off so far but Cong persists. Nope, Rection circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Cong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rection keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cong on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Rection steps into range and cracks Cong with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Cong flops backwards and Rection dives into his guard looking to finish!

Cong is rocked!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rection is one step ahead there.
Oh Cong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rection decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cong, up you get!
Cong seems to have got his legs back now.
Jab by Rection.
Rection moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A solid body kick from Rection.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rection, right into the meat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rection pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cong ducks right into an uppercut from Rection.
Rection thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Cong if he has to take too many more of those.

Cong takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rection is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cong had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Cong is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Rection doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Cong crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Cong's bad books for that mishap!
