Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Fury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ellis Trisan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury lands with a kick to the temple. Trisan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Fury rushes Trisan and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Trisan prevents a takedown attempt there.
Fury wants a takedown but no success here.
Trisan is pressed up against the ropes. Fury has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Trisan down to the mat. Trisan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Fury. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fury stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fury wants it to stay on the feet.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Fury throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Trisan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fury tries to free his leg and advance position but Trisan is retaining full guard.

Trisan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fury's guard.
Fury has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Trisan is looking to work some ground and pound but Fury has wrist control.

Trisan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fury is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fury has escaped and now he's on top!

Trisan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fury can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Trisan is looking to stand up but Fury isn't so interested in that idea.
Fury makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Furyis looking to pass into half guard but Trisan pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Trisan is in guard.

Trisan wants to control from the top but Fury keeps moving.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Trisan looking to sit in guard and control but Fury gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fury trying to control but Trisan is working from the bottom.
Trisan wants to stand and escape but Fury is having none of it.
Fury scoring with punches to the head and body.
Fury in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Trisan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Fury drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Trisan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fury has Trisan in his guard.
Fury has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Fury will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Trisan wants to land a leg kick but Fury is out of range.
Trisan tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Fury holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fury tries to score a body lock takedown but Trisan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fury lands a takedown into guard.
Fury slips nicely into half guard.
Trisan gets back to full guard.
Trisan keeping moving, preventing Fury from controlling successfully.

Trisan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fury defends it easily.
Trisan can't keep his opponent in guard - Fury advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fury scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Fury is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Trisan defends it well.
Fury drops an elbow to the side of Trisan's head.
Trisan is pressing down on Fury's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fury knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trisan on the ground.
Fury won't allow Trisan to get back to his feet.

Fury wants to control from the top but Trisan keeps moving.
Fury lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fury would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Fury drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Trisan dives on top into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Trisan wants to control from the top but Fury keeps moving.

Trisan stops Fury from standing up.
Trisan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fury swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Trisan trying to control the position from guard on top but Fury is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ellis Trisan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Trisan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fury defends it nicely.

Trisan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fury.

Fury fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trisan, pushing him back against the ropes.

Fury looking for a takedown.
Trisan has had enough of the clinch but Fury keeps him there for the moment.
A nice right hand lands inside from Fury.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fury manages to pull guard.
Fury on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fury tries to get out of the position.
Trisan wants to control from the top but Fury keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fury dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ellis Trisan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fury works over Trisan's head and body with a nice combination.

Trisan gets tackled into the ropes by Fury. Fury maintains the clinch.
Fury changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Trisan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Trisan tries to score with a low kick but Fury moves his leg out of the way.
Trisan throws out a leg kick but Fury moves out of range and Trisan only half commits.

and Fury counters with a good low kick that Trisan was not able to check.

Trisan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fury sprawls well. Fury wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Trisan gets slowly back to his feet.
Trisan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fury darts in and clinches Trisan up against the ropes.
Fury has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Trisan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Fury drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trisan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fury goes for a takedown in the clinch but Trisan prevents it.
Fury is trying to drag Trisan to the mat but Trisan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Trisan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fury fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Fury displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Trisan.

Frank Fury is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Fury counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Nice sprawl there from Trisan as Fury shoots in.
Trisan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Trisan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fury's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Frank Fury overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Frank Fury just wasn't active enough.
Fury throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trisan's waist but Trisan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fury off to one side.
Ellis Trisan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Fury has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
