Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rylan Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gardner has chosen Goodtimes as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries for a takedown but Gardner circles away easily
and Gardner counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Gardner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Jones throws a strike but Gardner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Gardner pushes his legs off easily.

Gardner tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
Gardner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gardner is aware though and is defending well.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gardner lands a nice short elbow.

Gardner wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gardner lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Jones quite badly. Jones pulls Gardner in close trying to recover. Gardner postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Jones on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Jones doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
