Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Woo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels gets a takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Woo is looking to improve his position.
Daniels trying to mount his opponent but Woo defends it.
Daniels seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Woo missing with punches from the bottom.
Woo throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Woo is looking for a sweep. Daniels is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Woo wants to control but Daniels is keeping busy.
Woo gets full guard.

Daniels drops back looking for a leg! Woo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Woo manages to kick Daniels off! Daniels jumps back into Woo's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Woo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Woo shoots in but Daniels avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Daniels counters with a nice uppercut.

Daniels connects with a body shot that sends Woo's belly button to the back.

Woo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniels pinned against the cage. Daniels gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Woo is breathing heavily.
Daniels scores with a shot to the body.
Daniels tries to bum rush Woo with a series of wild strikes but Woo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Daniels lands a jab to the head.
Woo tries to clinch but Daniels is having none of it.
A jab from Daniels finds it's way through Woo's defenses.
Daniels lands a nice shot to the body.
Daniels lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Woo fails to land the takedown.
Daniels leaves Woo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Woo tries to clinch but Daniels is having none of it.
Woo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daniels as he jumps to the side.
Woo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Daniels connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Woo scrambles back to his feet.
Daniels clobbers Woo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A nice combination there by Daniels.
Daniels lands a glancing blow to the side of Woo's head.
Daniels getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Woo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Daniels sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Woo shoots in for a double leg but Daniels sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Daniels lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Daniels.
Daniels fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Woo avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniels gets caught napping as Woo dives in and scores a takedown. Daniels manages to retain guard.

Woo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daniels's head.
Daniels keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Woo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Woo is thwarting Daniels's attempts to control the position.
Woo is stalling here. Daniels is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Woo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Daniels has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Daniels is trying to control. Woo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Daniels winds up and cracks Woo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Daniels is taking a breather. Woo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Woo misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Woo wants to control but Daniels is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Woo is trying to get back to full guard.
Daniels looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Woo tries to get to full guard but Daniels has control of the leg.
Daniels is trying to control. Woo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Woo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Woo is trying to maintain the position but Daniels is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Daniels fails to land with a series of punches.

Woo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daniels is fending him off so far but Woo persists. Nope, Daniels circles away and we're back to standing.

Woo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
You can see the frustration on Daniels's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Woo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Woo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Daniels manages to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Daniels enables Woo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Daniels manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Woo wanted to stand there but Daniels had control of the position.
Woo throws and elbow that misses. Daniels uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Woo's guard. Nice move by Daniels!
Woo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Daniels keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Woo with a couple of short strikes.
Daniels tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Woo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Daniels is now in Woo's guard. A big mistake from Woo there, giving up the dominant position!

Woo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Daniels defends well.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Daniels pushing down on Woo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Daniels is trying to control the action in half guard but Woo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daniels lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Daniels looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Daniels stalling away here and it's allowed Woo to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Daniels tries to free his leg and advance position but Woo is retaining full guard.
Woo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Daniels!

Woo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Woo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Daniels is looking to escape.
Johnny Woo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Daniels is bucking up trying to escape but Woo cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
