Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez tries for a takedown but Son circles away easily
and Son counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Son moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Son counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Velasquez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Son's half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Velasquez is trying to work for a kimura but Son is defending well.
Son keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Son cracks Velasquez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Son lands a nice leg kick that just misses Velasquez's sensitive parts.

It looks like Brock Velasquez has been cut.
Son scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Son pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Velasquez back to the cage. Son follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Velasquez is rocked!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Velasquez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Son - the referee stops the clock and Velasquez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Son. Velasquez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Oh Velasquez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Son connects with a high kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Son finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
OH! Velasquez has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Son smells blood and charges in for the finish! Son unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Velasquez sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
