PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kru Delko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gio Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gio Warren struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kru Delko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gio Warren!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Warren looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Warren lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Delko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Delko with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Delko moves nicely into side control.
Warren is letting Delko control him for a moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Delko is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Warren can't fight it off and eventually Delko manages to take the fight to the floor. Warren looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Delko sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Warren's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Delko is trying to work for a kimura but Warren is defending well.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Delko lands a nice short elbow.

Delko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Warren doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Delko.

Delko is taking a breather. Warren says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Delko throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Warren wants to improve his position but Delko is controlling well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Delko looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Warren enables Delko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Warren manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Delko stands and throws Warren's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Delko has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Delko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Warren is breathing heavily.
Delko content just to control the position here.
Kru Delko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Warren tries to buck Delko off so he can stand up but Delko has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Warren falls backwards, slamming Delko to the mat but Delko holds on tight! Warren is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kru Delko!
