The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davenport gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Grey.
Davenport uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grey.
Davenport tries to clinch but Grey is having none of it.

Davenport gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Grey scores with a hook to the body.
Davenport tries a body shot but Grey blocks it.
Davenport can't find room to land a body shot as Grey controls the action.
Grey lands a hook to the side of the head.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Grey lands with a short shot to the head.

Grey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Grey lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Grey drops Davenport with a right and a left! Grey comes rushing in but Davenport regains his composure and manages to keep Grey in guard.

It looks like Thomas Davenport has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Grey pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davenport is keeping the position for now.

Grey passes Davenport's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Grey wants to pass the guard but Davenport is defending well.
