Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Capwell's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Haunted - 99. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mason Capwell!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, John Meyer!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capwell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Capwell cracks Meyer with a right hand to the side of the head.
Capwell lands an overhand right.
Capwell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Meyer back to the cage. Capwell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Capwell scores with a jab. Meyer acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Capwell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Meyer misses with a takedown
and Capwell counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Meyer thinking.
Capwell keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Capwell throws a good cross that connects.


Meyer is rocked!
Meyer loads up on a big right hand but Capwell slips the punch.
Capwell cracks a nice hook into Meyer's ribs.
Capwell moves in looking to clinch but Meyer pushes him off.

Meyer walks into a jab.

Capwell has closed the distance and engaged Meyer in a clinch.

Capwell breaks from the clinch.
Capwell lands a jab to Meyer's midsection.
Capwell with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Meyer looks gassed!
Meyer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Capwell sprawls well. Capwell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Meyer gets slowly back to his feet.

Capwell drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Capwell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Capwell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Capwell throws an elbow that misses. Meyer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Capwell's guard. Nice move by Meyer!

Capwell wants to stand and escape but Meyer is having none of it.

Capwell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Meyer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Capwell.

Meyer is staying active underneath Capwell, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mason Capwell wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Meyer shoots in but Capwell avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Capwell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Meyer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Meyer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Capwell changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Meyer is breathing heavily.
Capwell catches Meyer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Capwell lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Meyer is looking to close the distance but Capwell sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Meyer crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Meyer is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
