Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevinty Siores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevinty Siores has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevinty Siores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Craig!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siores misses with a wild combination.

Craig shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Siores is trying to defend but Craig finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Siores gets full guard.

Craig got a little sloppy there for a moment and Siores has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Craig has managed to get both his arms back between Siores's legs - danger averted.
Craig postures up.
Craig slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Siores controlling the position.
Craig wants to control from the top but Siores keeps moving.
Craig with a flurry of punches that miss.

Siores keeping moving, preventing Craig from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Simon Craig was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Siores shoots and misses

and Craig counters with a nice double leg into side control. Siores won't be happy with that.
Siores is trying to control Craig's posture but Craig avoids it.

Craig wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Siores, who protects the arm well.
Siores tries to improve position but can't.
Siores is breathing heavily.
A lull in the action here as Craig stalls from top position.

Siores stops Craig from passing to mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Craig scores with punches from side control.
Siores is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Siores trying to remain calm as Craig controls from the top position.
Siores is looking for a sweep.
Craig controls the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Craig decides to stand up, so the ref orders Siores to his feet.
Siores wants to clinch.
Craig lands a jab-cross combination.

Craig fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Siores, pushing him back against the cage.

Craig breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Craig drives through and clinches with Siores against the cage.

Craig ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Craig no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Craig wants to sweep but no luck.
Craig is pulling down on Siores's head to control his posture.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Craig is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Craig lands a high kick!
Horrible takedown by Siores or perhaps it was just good defense by Craig which made him look bad.
Craig tries to close the distance and clinch but Siores swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Siores tries to score a power double leg takedown but Craig sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Siores somewhat.
Siores tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Craig paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Craig lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Craig is defended easily by Siores.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Siores lands a nice looking body shot.
Kevinty Siores is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Siores fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevinty Siores. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Siores moves in looking to clinch but Craig pushes him off.

Craig shoots in and bounces Siores off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Siores looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Craig landing with the ground and pound.
Siores being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Simon Craig wasn't active enough on the ground.
Craig fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Siores avoids it really well and circles away.

Craig closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Craig has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Craig shoots in and bounces Siores off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Craig won't allow Siores to sweep him here.
Craig is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Let's hope that Craig has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Simon Craig hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Craig misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Siores is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Siores displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Craig.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Craig showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


No joy there for Siores, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Craig closes the distance and pushes Siores back into the cage.
Siores misses with a hook to the ribs.
Siores tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Craig escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Siores tries to clinch but Craig is having none of it.
Craig fails in his attempt to clinch.
Craig doesn't manage to clinch there - Siores circles away.
Craig takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Craig is looking to clinch but Siores is avoiding it.
Siores throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Siores dives in and grabs Craig's left leg, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes down on Siores's head and hops out.
Siores tries to clinch but Craig is having none of it.
Siores wants to clinch up but Craig keeps it at a distance.
Siores fails with the takedown

so Craig counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevinty Siores. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Craig's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Craig slips nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Craig in particular looking to stall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Craig uses his free foot to push down on Siores's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Siores.

Craig has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Siores is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Craig goes for an armbar but Siores turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Siores.
Craig is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Craig wriggles free and stands up.

Craig takes the fight into the clinch.
Craig tries to score a body lock takedown but Siores shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Siores escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Siores keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Siores wants to clinch up but Craig keeps it at a distance.
Kevinty Siores has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Simon Craig is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Craig shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Simon Craig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Craig has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
