The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douillet throws a body punch but Kongo moves out of range.
Kongo thows a body shot but no joy.
Douillet misses with an uppercut.
A clash of legs there as Douillet blocks the low kick.
Some wild striking there from Kongo.
Douillet throws a jab but it's blocked by Kongo.
Kongo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Douillet is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kongo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kongo is looking to score with low kicks.

Douillet drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kongo is trying to control the position but Douillet postures up.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Douillet cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Douillet goes for an armbar but Kongo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kongo.

Kongo tries to lock up and control but Douillet gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kongo is desperately trying to improve his position but Douillet has a good base and remains in mount.

Douillet swings widly with a right hand
and Kongo counters with a thumping low kick.
Douillet throws a lazy right hand but Kongo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Douillet will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kongo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Douillet.

Douillet has had enough of the clinch but Kongo keeps him there for the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Douillet gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kongo gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Douillet is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
