Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Groo Roman pinned against the cage. Groo Roman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Groo Roman forces Pierre back against the cage and clinches.
Pierre has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Groo Roman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Groo Roman has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pierre regains guard immediately.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Groo Roman stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Pierre throws up his legs and catches Groo Roman in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Groo Roman tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Pierre! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Saint Pierre!
