Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Bohnam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Popo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bohnam comes to the cage accompanied by Right Above it. The crowd seem to be enjoying Popo's choice of entrance music: Alter Bridge- Ties that Bind. Ace Popo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jon Bohnam's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bohnam darts in and clinches Popo up against the cage.
Popo blocks an elbow strike.
Bohnam prevents the takedown attempt.
Bohnam lands an elbow inside.
Bohnam lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Popo goes for a takedown attempt but Bohnam pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bohnam moves in looking to clinch but Popo pushes him off.

and Popo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Popo.
Popo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bohnam fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jon Bohnam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ace Popo.

Bohnam stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Bohnam is pressed up against the cage. Popo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bohnam down to the mat. Bohnam avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jon Bohnam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bohnam tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Popo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Popo has Bohnam pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bohnam manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Popo has hold of one of Bohnam's legs. Bohnam is fighting the takedown attempt but Popo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Popo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bohnam manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Popo has Bohnam in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bohnam wants to stand but Popo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Popo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bohnam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bohnam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bohnam has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Popo has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bohnam has passed into side control.

Popo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bohnam should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Popo has tightened it up now! Bohnam should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
