Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazu Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrestling Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazu Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wrestling Scott!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott slips a straight right by Nakamura.
Scott dodges the punch combination from Nakamura.
Nakamura looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Scott closes the distance and pushes Nakamura back into the cage.
Scott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nakamura avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Scott has hold of one of Nakamura's legs. Nakamura is fighting the takedown attempt but Scott gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Scott throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Scott wants to pass the guard but Nakamura is keeping the position.
Nakamura tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Nakamura won't allow Scott to pass to mount.

Scott stays in close to Nakamura's body and controls the position.
Scott looking to sit in guard and control but Nakamura gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Scott wants to sweep but no luck.
Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Scott is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Scott is on top in guard.
Scott cracks Nakamura with a solid left hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Scott throws a strike but Nakamura rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Nakamura scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Scott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nakamura, pushing him back against the cage.
Scott tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nakamura's elbow.

Scott has Nakamura pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Scott pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nakamura tumbling to the mat - Scott dives into Nakamura's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Scottis looking to pass into half guard but Nakamura pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Nakamura is in guard.

Scott pulls Nakamura in to control the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Wrestling Scott hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Nakamura scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Scott throws a right hand that Nakamura ducks under and follows up with a left that Nakamura also avoids with ease.
Nakamura stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott slips a jab from Nakamura.
Nakamura throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sloppy strikes from Nakamura. Those never looked like landing.

Scott rushes Nakamura and presses him up against the cage.

Scott tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Nakamura tries to circle away but Scott has him pinned against the cage.

Kazu Nakamura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wrestling Scott.
Scott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nakamura avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Scott works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Scott tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nakamura swivels and escapes.
Nakamura will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Scott tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nakamura was well out of range. Poor timing from Scott.
Nakamura moves out of range as Scott strikes.
Kazu Nakamura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Scott ducks under a wild hook from Nakamura.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nakamura scores with a body shot.
Scott shoots in for a double leg but Nakamura sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Scott is breathing heavily.
Scott slips a jab from Nakamura.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nakamura stalks Scott and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Scott's face. Scott staggers backwards, shaken.

Scott drives through and clinches with Nakamura against the cage.

Scott turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Scott manages to end up in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kazu Nakamura will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Nakamura throws a right and a left that Scott avoids nicely.
Scott throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Scott gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scott works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Nakamura parries the strikes from Scott easily there. Scott is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nakamura to escape.
Scott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nakamura keeps working.

Nakamura regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Scott.

Scott is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Scott. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Scott is looking to take a break and control but Nakamura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Scott seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nakamura does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

I think Scott has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
