Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaime Lannister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Szogun Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Infected Mushroom - I Wish kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Lannister chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rua can pounce on him.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lannister. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Rua clobbers Lannister with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rua leaves Lannister with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rua throws a leg kick which misses Lannister's front leg but catches the back leg as Lannister tries to avoid it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lannister crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rua - the referee stops the clock and Lannister gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rua. Lannister manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Szogun Rua showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rua has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
