Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bowers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva tries for a takedown but Bowers circles away easily
and Bowers holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bowers works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bowers throws a big right hand that misses.
Silva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bowers wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bowers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bowers has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.
Bowers working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bowers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bowers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bowers is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Silva has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bowers is looking to defend but Silva has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bowers! Silva pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bowers taps out and this one is all over!
