Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stanislaw Burdon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stanislaw Burdon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Jones!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burdon lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Burdon.
A solid body kick from Burdon.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Burdon tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
Burdon wants to clinch.
Burdon tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones throws a head kick but Burdon moves out of range.
Jones misses with a body shot.
Chris Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burdon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Burdon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Burdon moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
Burdon shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Burdon throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Burdon tries to clinch up.
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Burdon moves into the clinch.
Burdon trying to control the position but instead, Jones has worked for underhooks and has pushed Burdon into the cage.
Jones stalling in the clinch.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Burdon smiles and moves away.

Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Burdon tries to land knees in the clinch but Jones avoids the damage to the body.
Burdon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Burdon smiles and moves away.
Stanislaw Burdon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Jones.
Burdon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Burdon somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
Jones is chipping away with strikes.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Burdon's shoulder. That is not cool.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones tries for a kimura but Burdon is defending well.

Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chris Jones will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stanislaw Burdon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Jones.

Jones drives through with a takedown into guard.

Burdon wriggles free and stands up.
Burdon avoids a kick to the body.
Burdon tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jones drives through and clinches with Burdon against the cage.
Burdon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jones avoids the head kick by Burdon.
Burdon throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off.

Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.
Burdon is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burdon is not content to let Jones control the position.
Jones is taking a breather. Burdon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Burdon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Jones is working for a kimura but Burdon is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Burdon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.
Jones slows the pace down in half guard.
Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Chris Jones has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chris Jones.
Jones throws a body kick that misses.

Jones clinches up against the cage.

Burdon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Burdon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
Jones fails to land the takedown.
A nice leg kick lands there from Burdon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Jones is looking to clinch but Burdon is avoiding it.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones tries to advance to mount but Burdon denies him.
Burdon tries to escape but Jones is in control.
Jones working the ground and pound.
Burdon is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Jones remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice jab there from Jones.
Burdon dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Burdon's head and hops out.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Burdon.
Jones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Jones rushes Burdon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jones gets control of Burdon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones striking off his back but it's not causing Burdon any problems.

Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Burdon looks to land a body kick but Jones moved away.
Stanislaw Burdon is winning the standup battle so far.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Burdon pinned against the cage. Burdon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones throws a combination that misses
and Burdon makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jones really felt that one!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Burdon.

A solid body kick from Burdon.
Burdon is looking to clinch.
Burdon connects with a high kick.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Burdon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stanislaw Burdon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Burdon sprawls well.
Burdon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Burdon takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Jones is looking to clinch but Burdon is avoiding it.
Burdon connects with a solid leg kick.
Burdon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burdon's waist but Burdon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
Burdon lands a front kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burdon moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Stanislaw Burdon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chris Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Chris Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
