Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alyston Dion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Jackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alyston Dion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Jackman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Jackman. No joy for Dion on that attempt.
Dion shoots in for a takedown but Jackman shows good takedown defense.
Dion shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackman but Jackman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alyston Dion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackman throws a jab when Dion was well out of range.
Horrible takedown by Dion or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackman which made him look bad.

Jackman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dion did well to prevent Jackman getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dion wants to get back to his feet.
Dion wants to stand back up but Jackman manages to pass into side control.
Dion is breathing heavily.
Jackman prevents Dion from escaping the position.

Jackman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dion to his feet.
Jackman does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Jackman leaves Dion with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dion swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackman.
Jackman misses with a series of wild punches.

Jackman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackman lands in his opponent's guard.

Jackman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jackman tries to clinch up but Dion circles away and keeps his distance.
A jab from Jackman misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dion enables Jackman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dion manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jackman stands and steps away. Dion gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Dion really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jackman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Jackman tries to pass to full mount but Dion defends it.
Dion pushes Jackman off looking to stand but Jackman dives back in and keeps control.

Jackman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dion has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Jackman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dion sees it coming and defends easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jackman in particular looking to stall.

Jackman seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Dion is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
