PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shukri Hakala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chew Bacca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hakala might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eminem: Just Lose It. Bacca has chosen Chewbacca Noise as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hakala moves out of range as Bacca throws a body kick.
Hakala showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bacca.

Hakala shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hakala showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hakala is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bacca!
Bacca reaches up to try and control the position but Hakala seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Bacca rolls and tries to escape and now Hakala has his back!
Hakala cracks Bacca with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Bacca from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

What can Bacca do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Hakala has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
