Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joey DeMaio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Markus Mac!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Mac misses.
Mac leaves DeMaio with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
DeMaio slips a jab and a cross from Mac.
DeMaio shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and DeMaio takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
DeMaio tries for a takedown but Mac circles away easily
and Mac cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey DeMaio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick misses from DeMaio.
DeMaio closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mac cracks the inside of DeMaio's front leg.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
DeMaio misses with a takedown

and Mac counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
DeMaio is breathing heavily.
Mac tries to break free but DeMaio pushes him back against the cage.

Mac breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
DeMaio pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DeMaio shoots for a takedown but Mac saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mac steps into range and cracks DeMaio with a monster punch that buckles his knees! DeMaio flops backwards and Mac dives into his guard looking to finish!

DeMaio is rocked!

Mac thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Oh DeMaio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mac slips nicely into half guard.
Mac tries to stand and escape but DeMaio is controlling the position.
DeMaio has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mac is working away from the top position though.
DeMaio seems to have got his legs back now.

Mac stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
DeMaio shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mac pinned against the cage. Mac gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mac circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops DeMaio to the canvas! DeMaio doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Mac keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
