Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diaga Janatan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Santos closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Janatan quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Janatan is looking to control Santos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Janatan avoid being mounted?

Santos decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Janatan gets caught flat footed, as Santos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Janatan is on top in guard.
Janatan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Santos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Janatan wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
Janatan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Santos wants to control but Janatan is having none of it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Santos tries to reverse the position but Janatan maintains control.
Santos is breathing heavily.
Janatan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Santos is looking to escape.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Janatan goes for an armbar but Santos turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Santos.
Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Janatan on the ground.

Janatan is looking for a triangle but Santos pushes his legs off easily.
Santos tries to free his leg and advance position but Janatan is retaining full guard.
Janatan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Santos wants to stand but Janatan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Santos stands up from Janatan's guard - Santos perhaps looking for a knockout.

Janatan gets tackled into the cage by Santos. Santos maintains the clinch.

Janatan fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Santos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Janatan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Janatan tries to bench press Santos off him but Santos keeps the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Janatan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Santos off and has taken his back!

Janatan working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Santos is doing well to defend. Janatan seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Santos is forced to tap and this one is over!
