PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clubber Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Roma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clubber Lang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Roma!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang misses with a wild combination.
Roma gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lang counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Roma shoots for a double leg takedown but Lang sprawls well. He's pushed Roma's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lang lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roma circles away quickly and effectively.
Roma has his takedown stuffed

and Lang counters by clinching up.
Clubber Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Roma.
Lang lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lang creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Lang misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short uppercut from Lang.
Lang is pressed up against the cage. Roma has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lang down to the mat. Lang avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Roma doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lang counters with a series of strikes. Roma will be more careful next time no doubt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Roma takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lang fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Roma is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lang is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Roma.
Roma takes a jab right on the kisser.

Lang drops Roma with a beautiful combination! Roma stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lang is looking for the KO!

Roma is rocked!

It looks like Ricky Roma has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lang connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Roma covering up! Lang comes in with a big uppercut and Roma goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Clubber Lang!
Clubber Lang decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
