Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dangerous Daisy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Novak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kris Novak!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novak cracks Daisy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Novak shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Novak was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Daisy is trying to stand up.
Novak lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Daisy hang on?
Daisy is bucking up trying to escape but Novak cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Daisy has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Novak is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Daisy has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Daisy is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Novak gets his way!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Novak throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Daisy!

Despite being in the dominant position, Kris Novak just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Novak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Daisy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Daisy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Novak has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Novak had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Daisy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Novak Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Daisy's back instead.
The referee is taking a good look at Daisy as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Novak!
Dangerous Daisy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Novak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
