I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that David Summers was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Summers!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobbertson scores with a decent looking hook.
Summers misses with a looping left.
Bobbertson pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Summers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bobbertson!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Summers looking to control and managing it successfully.
Bobbertson tries to hold on but Summers pushes him away.

Summers is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bobbertson is surviving well by controlling Summers's body position as best he can.
Summers landing punches.


It looks like Bobby Bobbertson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bobbertson can't escape the position.
Bobbertson is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Summers looking to control but Bobbertson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Summers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bobbertson wants to hold on but Summers pushes him away.

Summers is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bobbertson is surviving well by controlling Summers's body position as best he can.
Summers throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bobbertson because Summers loaded up on that one.
Bobbertson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Summers working the head and body with strikes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bobbertson wants to improve his position but Summers is controlling well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bobbertson taking some punishment here, with Summers in his half guard.
Bobbertson is not content to let Summers control the position.

Bobbertson scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Summers manages to mount him!

Summers looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Bobbertson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Summers blocks Bobbertson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Bobby Bobbertson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Summers thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Summers lands a heavy elbow.


Jeez, Bobby Bobbertson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bobby Bobbertson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). David Summers!
