The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Activin lands with an overhand left.
Boxer looks to land a combination but Activin avoids it well.
Activin blocks a low kick nicely.
Activin looks to land a right hand but Boxer moved out of range.
Barbara Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Activin blocks a head kick by Boxer.
Activin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boxer throws a nice inside leg kick.
Boxer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Activin moves out of range of the body kick.

Activin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boxer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Barbara Boxer will probably get the nod.

Boxer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Activin manages to avoid it.

Boxer feints and as Activin raises his hands in defense, Boxer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Activin stands up over Boxer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Boxer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Activin under the eye.
