PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lord Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeet Kun Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vader comes to the cage accompanied by Same Ol' Road. Do is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mama Said Knock You Out. Lord Vader is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lord Vader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeet Kun Do!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do tries to bum rush Vader with a series of wild strikes but Vader uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vader lands a jab to the nose.
Vader looks for a takedown but Do sprawls well.
Do throws a head kick that misses
and Vader counters with a one-two to the body.
Vader showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Do.
Vader dives in and grabs Do's left leg, looking for a takedown. Do pushes down on Vader's head and hops out.
Vader fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lord Vader. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Do fails to land with a series of punches.
Vader will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Do lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vader throws a one two combo.
Do throws a series of punches but Vader moves out of range.
Do misses with a few strikes there.
Do misses with a double jab
and Vader counters with a nice body shot.
Do falls off balance throwing a combination
and Vader makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Do looks gassed!
Vader misses with a body kick.
Vader fails with a takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vader swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Do tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vader paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Do avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vader misses with a double jab.
Vader circles away from the clinch attempt

and Vader counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Do!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vader looking to finish Do with some ground and pound. This is bad for Do!
Vader lands a heavy elbow.
Vader landing strikes from the mount and Do is in trouble!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Do is rocked!

Vader is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Do to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Do shrugs it off.
Do in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Do is still in real trouble! Can Vader finish him?
Do taking shots to the head.
Do tries to hold on but Vader pushes him away.
Do seems to have recovered his senses.
Do is looking to improve his position but Vader isn't that keen on the idea.
Do is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Vader lands a big elbow.
Vader with a couple of short strikes.
Do is looking to get to half guard.
Vader will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vader postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Do in real trouble here! The ref calls for Do to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lord Vader!
During a confident post fight interview, Lord Vader thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
