The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Hudson. Those never looked like landing.
James throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hudson's waist but Hudson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing James off to one side.
James moves forwards but Hudson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Ian James has been cut.
Hudson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A big right from James misses.
James shoots in for a double leg but Hudson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hudson connects with a combination that backs up James into the cage. Hudson lands a flurry of punches that gets past James's guard. James is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Hudson bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Garrett Hudson!
