PBP Commentary

Krause has chosen How Much Is The Fish as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Klaus Krause is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Klaus Krause!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krause misses with a two punch combination.
Evans fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Krause manages to avoid it.
Krause takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Evans, as that shot connected.
Krause throws out a powerful jab.
Klaus Krause seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evans swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Evans misses with a body shot.
Evans misses with a body shot.
Evans lands a nice looking body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Krause. Evans does a little dance to reset his feet.
Evans takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Evans ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Krause swings widly with a right hand
and Evans counters with a nice uppercut.
Krause tries to clinch but Evans moves out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Krause.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Evans throws a poor cross that misses
and Krause counters with a two punch combo.
Evans fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Krause manages to avoid it.
Krause ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Krause gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Krause tries to break free but Evans pushes him back against the cage.
Evans tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Krause.

Evans pulls guard effortlessly.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Evans is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Krause content to stall in guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krause throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Evans works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Evans on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Evans tries to get out of the position.
Evans preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Krause pushes down on Evans's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Krause maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Evans could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Krause has cracked it and Evans is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Krause!
