The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juliard takes one on the button.
Juliard fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Juliard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alexeev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Juliard somewhat.

Juliard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Juliard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alexeev is fending him off so far but Juliard persists. Nope, Alexeev circles away and we're back to standing.
A low kick from Alexeev is predictable there

and Juliard counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Juliard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Alexeev is wriggling around but Juliard manages to pass to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Juliard not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alexeev is looking to escape.
Alexeev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Juliard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Juliard is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alexeev sees it coming and defends easily.

Alexeev scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Juliard manages to mount him!

Juliard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Juliard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Alexeev's face.

It looks like Igor Alexeev has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Alexeev has left one of his arms exposed and Juliard doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Alexeev screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
