The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pudsz thows a body shot but no joy.

Pudsz looking to score a takedown here. Esch is defending well but Pudsz drives through and ends up in Esch's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Pudsz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Esch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pudsz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Pudsz is working Esch over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Esch wants to sweep here but Pudsz controlling him for the moment.

That has opened up Brandon Esch's cut even more.
Pudsz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Esch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Esch has control of Pudsz's left arm, preventing Pudsz from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brandon Esch's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
