The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries for a takedown but Whipple sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Whipple scores with a nice head shot.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Whipple lands with a straight right. Jones didn't see that one coming.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Keith Whipple has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitchell Jones.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Whipple throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Whipple paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Keith Whipple seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whipple throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Jones throws a right hand that Whipple ducks under and follows up with a left that Whipple also avoids with ease.

It looks like Mitchell Jones has been cut.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Whipple, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Whipple against the cage but Whipple circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Whipple finds it's way round the side to connect with Jones's head.

Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Whipple lands a big uppercut and Jones crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jones looks OK. Whipple waves Jones back to his feet!

Jones is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Whipple throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.

Oooooh!!! Whipple has knocked Jones down with a huge combo! Whipple steps away and waves a wobbly Jones back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Whipple finish him?
Sloppy strikes from Whipple. Those never looked like landing.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
Whipple connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Jones covering up! Whipple comes in with a big uppercut and Jones goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
