Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doug Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall comes into the arena with Rotten Apple -- Alice in Chains blaring out of the sound system. Price is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Twisted Sister - The Price. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doug Marshall!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean Price!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price scoring well with a low kick there.
Marshall misses with the body kick
and Marshall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Price feints and then cracks Marshall's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Marshall down.
Marshall throws a leg kick which misses Price's front leg but catches the back leg as Price tries to avoid it.
Price throws a right hand that Marshall ducks under and follows up with a left that Marshall also avoids with ease.
Marshall scores with a hook.
Price fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marshall manages to avoid it.
Marshall lands a jab to the head.
Price misses with a body shot.
Price pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Price uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marshall.
Sean Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marshall takes a jab right on the kisser.
Price defending well as Marshall loads up on a big left hand.
Price fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Price thows a left - swing and a miss!
Marshall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Price pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Marshall back to the cage. Price follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Marshall tries a head kick but it misses.
Price misses the body punch
and Marshall counters with a nice low kick that buckles Price's knee momentarily.
Good leg kick by Marshall there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A clash of legs there as Marshall blocks the low kick.
Price on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Marshall throws a chopping leg kick but Price manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Price throws a hook but Marshall blocks it.
A head kick misses from Price.

Marshall pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Price misses with an uppercut. Marshall saw that one coming.
Marshall misses with a looping right.
Marshall lands a really nice looking cross but Price seems unphased.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Price avoids the body shot from Marshall.

and Marshall counters with a nice uppercut.
Price checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Marshall misses the shot to the body.

Price throws a jab but it's blocked by Marshall.
Marshall lands a lovely overhand right.

Marshall lands a big head kick that sends Price tumbling to the mat! Marshall takes a step backwards and waves Price back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Price moves out of range as Marshall throws a body kick.
Price is still on wobbly legs! Can Marshall finish him?
Price misses with a wild body shot.
Marshall fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Price manages to avoid it.
Marshall tries a head kick but it misses.
Price seems to have recovered his senses.
Marshall throws a sloppy head kick
and Price counters with a good low kick that Marshall was not able to check.
Marshall displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Price throws out the jab.

and Marshall counters with an outside leg kick.

Price throws a push kick but Marshall slaps the foot to one side.
Price misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Price avoids the head kick by Marshall.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Price misses with a combination
and Marshall counters with a slapping leg kick.
Price looks gassed!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Marshall. Price shrugs it off though.
Marshall checks a low kick from Price.
Marshall throws a leg kick which misses Price's front leg but catches the back leg as Price tries to avoid it.
Marshall scores with a crisp jab that stopped Price in his tracks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Marshall tests Price's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doug Marshall dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Marshall uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Price has time to react.
Doug Marshall is winning the standup battle so far.
Price looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Price throws out a loose jab but Marshall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Price has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marshall finds it's way round the side to connect with Price's head.
Marshall loads up on a big right hand but Price slips the punch.
Marshall misses the shot to the body.
Price walks into a jab.
A swing and a miss from Marshall.
Marshall misses with a straight right.
Price misses with an uppercut.
Marshall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Price.

A looping hook to the body misses from Marshall. Price does a little dance to reset his feet.
Price throws a looping overhand right but Marshall ducks down to avoid it.
Marshall thuds a left hand into Price's body.
Price takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Price is breathing heavily.
Marshall throws a poor cross that misses
and Price counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Marshall lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Marshall lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Price misses with a head kick.
Marshall throws a body punch but Price moves out of range.
Marshall dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Price swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marshall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Price looks to throw the jab but Marshall is out of range.
Price walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Marshall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Price.
A telegraphed right hand from Marshall misses the target.
Marshall throws a head kick that misses.

Marshall feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Price sprawling to the canvas! Price rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Marshall finish him?!
Marshall ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Price's jaw. Price's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Marshall does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Doug Marshall!
