And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malinowsky looks to score with a jab to the body but Skunder is just out of range.
Malinowsky throws a lazy uppercut
and Skunder counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Malinowsky. That's going to slow Skunder down.

Skunder moves into the clinch.
Malinowsky is trying to drag Skunder to the mat but Skunder just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Malinowsky has Skunder pressed against the cage, preventing Skunder from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Malinowsky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Skunder fails with the takedown.
Malinowsky shoots in looking for a takedown but Skunder manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Malinowsky's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Skunder throws a right hand that Malinowsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Malinowsky also avoids with ease.
Malinowsky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Skunder but Skunder pushes him off and we're back to square one.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Malinowsky shoots in but Skunder avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Skunder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Malinowsky pinned against the cage. Malinowsky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
