Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Calzaghe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Korba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calzaghe comes to the cage accompanied by The Pride of Wales. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korba takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Calzaghe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Korba on the side of the head.
Korba uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Calzaghe.

Korba fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Calzaghe to the ground. Korba is now in Calzaghe's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Korba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Calzaghe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Korba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Calzaghe has managed to get both his arms back between Korba's legs - danger averted.

Korba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Calzaghe stuns Korba with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Calzaghe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
