Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kalib Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koscheck kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Thompson has chosen The game as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A swing and a miss from Koscheck.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown but Koscheck shows good takedown defense.
Koscheck misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A head kick misses from Koscheck.
Koscheck closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thompson did well to prevent Koscheck getting side control.
Koscheck passes to side control.
Thompson is trying to get back to his feet.
Thompson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thompson is looking to reverse the position.
Koscheck in side control lands a decent elbow.
Koscheck lands a nice forearm strike.
Koscheck throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Koscheck moves into full mount!
Koscheck in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Koscheck postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Thompson looks a forlorn figure.
Thompson is still in real trouble! Can Koscheck finish him?
Koscheck postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Thompson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Koscheck around the waist but Koscheck pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Koscheck is the winner by TKO! Koscheck jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kalib Koscheck!
An out of breath Kalib Koscheck thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
