PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sly Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and August Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sly Fox has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sly Fox seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fox fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gold, pushing him back against the cage.
Gold goes for a takedown in the clinch but Fox prevents it.

Fox is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gold can't fight it off and eventually Fox manages to take the fight to the floor. Gold looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Fox gets to his feet - Gold follows without any prompting.

Gold looks for a takedown but Fox sprawls well.
Sly Fox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of August Gold.
Fox lands a nice looking kick to the body. Gold takes a step back to recover.
Fox keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fox has managed to clinch.

Gold decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fox passes Gold's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Fox is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gold is looking for a sweep. Fox is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gold has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fox is working away from the top position though.

Fox wants to control the pace but Gold is squirming around nicely.

Gold is trying to escape the mount but Fox keeps good control and instead manages to take Gold's back.
Gold is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Fox has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Gold is defending well but eventually Fox manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Gold has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
