Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaw Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis comes to the ring accompanied by Superbeast - Rob Zombie. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Reis swinging wilding here.
Reis avoids the body shot from Maxwell.
Reis tries to clinch up but Maxwell circles away and keeps his distance.

Reis shoots in and bounces Maxwell off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Reis thows a big elbow that misses.
Reis wants to pass the guard but Maxwell is keeping the position.
Reis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Reis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Maxwell is looking to stand up but Reis isn't so interested in that idea.
Reis throws and elbow that misses. Maxwell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Reis's guard. Nice move by Maxwell!

Reis is looking to sweep but instead, Maxwell has passed into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Maxwell connects with a nice short shot to Reis's temple.
Reis tries to roll over but Maxwell keeps him under control.
Reis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Reis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Maxwell is one step ahead there.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Maxwell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Maxwell wants to control from the top but Reis keeps moving.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Maxwell is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Reis has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Maxwell is looking to defend but Reis has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Maxwell! Reis pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Maxwell taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Paulo Reis!
