Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doug Lake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zeit Ramsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zeit Ramsey!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramsey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ramsey tries a head kick but it misses.
Ramsey feints and then cracks Lake's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lake down.

Lake tries to keep at a distance but Ramsey has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ramsey is working for takedown but Lake is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ramsey landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ramsey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lake escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ramsey feints a jab promting Lake to slip. Ramsey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lake slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ramsey fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fighters circling - Lake throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ramsey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lake circles away quickly and effectively.

Ramsey drives through and clinches with Lake against the cage.
Ramsey throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lake blocks it with crossed arms.
Lake misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ramsey.

Ramsey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ramsey tries to land a leg kick but Lake saw it coming and moves away.
Ramsey misses with a low kick.
Doug Lake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramsey avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ramsey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lake is fending him off so far but Ramsey persists. Nope, Lake circles away and we're back to standing.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lake. Ramsey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lake fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ramsey.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ramsey.
Ramsey throws a nice looking combination but Lake bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lake loads up on a big right hand but Ramsey slips the punch.

Zeit Ramsey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ramsey doesn't manage to clinch there - Lake circles away.

Lake throws a right hand that Ramsey ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramsey also avoids with ease.

Lake is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Ramsey closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lake motions for Ramsey to come forward. Lake throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

No joy there for Ramsey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zeit Ramsey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ramsey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
