Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takato Fortune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Takato Fortune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Wall!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortune avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fortune could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fortune shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wall defends it nicely.
Fortune is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fortune keeps the fight on the outside.
Fortune fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fortune enables Wall to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fortune manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Wall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Fortune has his hands on Wall's head, controlling the position.
Fortune not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fortune looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Fortune seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Takato Fortune.
Wall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fortune as he jumps to the side.

Fortune gets a clinch.

Wall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fortune managing to block the knees to the body from Wall.
Wall is trying to stall.
Wall drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fortune gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wall keeps control of Fortune as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Wall is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fortune using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wall has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Wall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fortune just stands there and leans against the cage.
Takato Fortune has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Wall.
Fortune jumps guard but Wall stands there with Fortune around his waist. Fortune gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wall breaks from the clinch.
Wall doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wall tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fortune manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wall pushes Fortune up against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wall is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Fortune is keeping busy.
With the fighters up against the cage, Wall throws an elbow but misses.

Fortune tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wall smiles and moves away.
Fortune motions for Wall to come forward. Fortune throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wall tries to clinch up
and Fortune counters with a nice uppercut.
Fortune shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wall tries to clinch but Fortune moves away

and Fortune moves into the clinch.
Fortune wants a takedown.
Wall displaying some good clinch control by pressing Fortune up against the cage.
Wall wants a takedown but no success here.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Wall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fortune shoots in for a takedown but Wall shows good takedown defense.
Wall dives in and grabs Fortune's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fortune pushes down on Wall's head and hops out.
Wall looks gassed!
Wall fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wall tries to close the distance and clinch but Fortune swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fortune misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wall tries to close the distance and clinch but Fortune swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fortune clinches with his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wall wants a takedown but no success here.
Fortune is working for takedown but Wall is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fortune wants to break free but Wall has control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Wall will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fortune tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fortune defends it nicely.
Wall shoots in for a takedown but Fortune shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fortune is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wall gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takato Fortune. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fortune shoots in looking for a takedown. Wall tries to sprawl out of it but Fortune keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wall misses with a few strikes there.
Fortune will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wall tries to clinch but Fortune is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Fortune stuffs the takedown attempt from Wall. Wall gets slowly back to his feet.

Wall is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fortune is looking to break free of the clinch but Wall has double underhooks.
Wall has Fortune pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fortune manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Wall misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Fortune.

Fortune misses with an elbow over the top.

Wall wants to sweep here but Fortune controlling him for the moment.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wall wants to stand and escape but Fortune is having none of it.

Wall wants to get back to striking at distance but Fortune won't allow it.

Wall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fortune was well out of range. Poor timing from Wall.

Fortune swats away the attempt to clinch by Wall.
Fortune fails to land with a series of punches.
Wall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fortune paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fortune pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fortune moves in looking to clinch but Wall pushes him off.
Wall lands a nice looking body kick.
Takato Fortune is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wall clinches up with Fortune and pushes him back against the cage.
Fortune tries to pull guard but Wall holds him up against the cage and eventually Fortune drops back down to his feet.
Fortune swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fortune has Wall pushed against the cage.
Fortune is trying to break the clinch but Wall is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Takato Fortune will probably get the nod.
That's time! Fortune's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Wall tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fortune swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fortune gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wall tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Fortune ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fortune no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fortune looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wall has picked Fortune up and slammed him! Fortune can't keep hold of the triangle and Wall manages to pass to side control!
Wall in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Fortune is not content to let Wall control the position.
Wall working away.
Wall working the ground and pound but Fortune is defending the strikes.
Wall taking a break here but Fortune is having none of it and regains half guard.

Wall is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fortune looking for subs from the bottom but Wall mounts him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fortune is looking to escape.
Wall scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wall looking to control and managing it successfully.
Fortune blocking the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fortune has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Wall's lack of action.
Wall wants to control but Fortune is keeping him busy.
Fortune might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wall passes to side control.
Fortune sneaks back into half guard.
Wall thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fortune is not content to let Wall control the position.
Wall looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Wall frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wall landing punches.
Wall avoids the attempt from Fortune to control.
Wall connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
A nice elbow there by Wall.
Wall looking to control but Fortune is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Wall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wall controlling the position easily from mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wall cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Wall throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Wall throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Wall lands with some strikes.
Fortune tries to hold on but Wall postures up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fortune in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Wall is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fortune can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wall jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fortune manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wall throws an elbow but Fortune slips to the side and avoids it well.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Wall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
