Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rey Bautista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bautista might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ladies and Gentlemen. Madison has chosen Jizz In My Pants as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rey Bautista!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Madison!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Madison.
Madison lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bautista circles away quickly and effectively.
Bautista misses with the combination.
Madison throws a low kick but Bautista moves out of range easily.
Bautista misses with a two punch combination.
Bautista scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Madison slips a jab and a cross from Bautista.
Madison feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bautista's calf.

Bautista swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Madison counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Bautista fails to land with a series of punches.

Madison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bautista's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Madison stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bautista swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bautista displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Madison.

Madison takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bautista throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Madison dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Bautista is breathing heavily.
Bautista throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Madison.
Bautista rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Madison moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Madison decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bautista's guard.
Bautista knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Madison on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Madison is working Bautista over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Madison content to control rather than advance.

Madison seems to be looking for submissions.
Madison looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Madison is nestled in close to Bautista, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bautista's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Madison fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bautista has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Madison lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bautista circles away quickly and effectively.
Madison shoots in looking for a takedown. Bautista tries to sprawl out of it but Madison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bautista manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Madison lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Rey Bautista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Madison scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Madison is looking to take a break and control but Bautista is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Madison takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Madison perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Madison takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Madison throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Bautista has his hands clasped together but Madison breaks the hold and Bautista is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Madison!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Madison! Jack Madison retains his featherweight title!
