The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Flairianio.
Gammarix shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Flairianio decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gammarix's guard.
Gammarix is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gammarix really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flairianio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Flairianio avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Flairianio tries to free his leg and advance position but Gammarix is retaining full guard.
Flairianio stops Gammarix from standing up.
Flairianio won't allow Gammarix to sweep him here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Gammarix escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flairianio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gammarix shoots and misses

and Flairianio counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gammarix won't be happy with that.
Gammarix looks gassed!
Flairianio has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Flairianio is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gammarix can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gammarix is trying to escape the mount but Flairianio keeps good control and instead manages to take Gammarix's back.

Gammarix looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Flairianio is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gammarix defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Flairianio is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Gammarix has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Flairianio has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Gammarix taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Flairianio doesn't care though - he's delighted!
