Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Boans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boans comes to the cage accompanied by Walk by Pantera. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Dos Santos. No joy for Boans on that attempt.
Dos Santos looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Boans looks up at the clock and then as Dos Santos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Boans smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dos Santos wants to get back to his feet but Boans is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Boans stays in close to Dos Santos's body and controls the position.

Boans slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Boans postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boans makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Dos Santos is rocked!
Boans loads up on a big left hand. Dos Santos felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Boans looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dos Santos can't hide his disappointment, as Boans celebrates the victory.
